Nanowrimo: All the Cool Kids Are Doing It Now

This is where it's at. In short, 50,000 words in 30 days (1,667 words/day). I'm trying it, because I love writing and hate having spare time.

What's the book about? It's fantasy. Awesome fantasy. Revenge, sword fights, true love, intrigue, magic, mysterious voices, ballrooms, made up names with too many vowels, and awesome. I already have about half the story told. Once I finish it in November, you'll start to see it posted here.

So cheer me on! I'm going to need it...

On a Wing: Welcome to the Blog

Why am I here? I'm not sure yet, to be honest. I'm looking for something, and my soul seems like a good place to start. As such you, my most patient and faithful reader, will be subject to reading whatever I feel like writing. Deal with it.

What is the deep meaning behind my title, you ask? I'll tell you, because I'm a mind-reader like that. The phrase, supposedly, goes back to a movie made during WWII. During the dramatic finale, the fighter pilot radios in that "I'm coming in, on a wing and a prayer." This was quite literal. All the pilot had left was a single wing, and his prayer that he would find a way back home.

Or so the story goes. I'm not sure how factual that is, but something about it speaks to me.

I feel like this sometimes. OK, a lot of the time.

So here I am, making my way home on a wing and a prayer. Coming with me?
